Rila Mountain - Summer 2012

It's a giant anthill. We found it at Borovets, the town at
the base of Rila.

One of the many glacial lakes in Rila.

Fish!

Another glacial lake.

My cousin climbing up the rocky trail.

The meandering trail going through the rocks.

Hey look, snow in July.

The winter trail.

Coming down.

Fishing in Bulgaria: Konska Reservoir

I went fishing yesterday with my cousin and his friends, and we ended up catching a large fish. It ended up becoming tangled in the line and came in quite easily after about a seven minute fight. It was successfully released afterwards. Oh, and there were a lot of frogs.

Gummy Bear Rainbow

I found this rainbow of gummy bears outside the local library. Many are missing, so I guess someone ate them...

Tea From Hell

My mom got this "Numi Blooming Petals" tea. It is supposed to be some handcrafted flower-like thing created from multiple types of tea plants. This is the biggest fail I have seen in my life. (Tea wise)

What it's supposed to look like:

What it actually looks like:

Disgusting, right?

Kite Flying Day!

Wow, I haven't flown this kite in a long time. We finally had some wind yesterday, so I decided that it was perfect weather for flying a kite. I finally figured out how to do flips, and had many near-ground misses. We are currently looking for a new kite since some of the fiberglass on this one has started to chip and get stuck in our fingers!

Solar Eclipse 2012

Armed with a telescope, a solar filter, and a group of eager kids, we headed outside and watched the solar eclipse. We really did not expect so many people to come, but it was really fun.

New Bike Rack and Package from Mightyfrog

Yay!
Mightyfrog sent us a package of candy from Japan which we are supposed to split between ourselves and everybody at my dad's work. In addition to that, I got a bike rack for my bike in my room. Now all I need to do is wait for my knee to get better from my knee injury... Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys, I fell on my knee at Calabazas 2.5 weeks ago... Getting an MRI on May 1st... Can't wait to get on my bike again!

New bike rack and my favorite
Japanese candy, "Milky"

Spring Break Storm

Wow. No pictures for this one, since it is much to dark to take any (not to mind, much too wet) but San Jose is experiencing a huge storm right now. Heavy rain is pounding on the sidewalks, thunder is rumbling through the streets, and lighting is making the moon look like a flashlight with no battery. Batten down the hatches!

Rainy Day for a Parakeet

Today was a rainy day so I went to my friend's house and got a picture of one of her two parakeets. The other one wouldn't sit still.

I Found Gold!

I went metal detecting today at two parks. In addition to finding $1.83, I found my first piece of gold, 14 karat, 1.38 grams, pricing it at about $45.

3rd Day of BMX - Calabazas Park

Today was my third day of BMX. We went to Calabazas Park near Cupertino, which has the most awesome BMX dirt park imaginable. I rode for about 3.5 hours, and now every part on my upper body is sore. It was worth it though, and I am without question coming here soon.

Just riding.

Landing one of the small jumps at the park. There are many
sizes, from small ones like these, to ones 10 feet tall. These
were only about 3 feet tall...

Mystery Asian Coin [Resolved!]

During metal detecting today, I found an Asian coin, but could not figure out what country it came from... Any help?

Mightyfrog helped out here and told me it was a Taiwanese 10 Yuan.
