Bernal Road Ascent and Descent

Brought the GoPro along with the chest mount for a short ride on Bernal Road as a test. Time lapse (1 pic/0.5 seconds I think) going up, video going down. Enjoy!

Large Homemade Kite + GoPro

We spent three hours today building a large 5'6" kite out of balsa wood and very thin plastic, flown on 25 lb test fishing line. Before it could get very high, the balsa wood broke. Luckily, we had attached the GoPro to the string and put it on time-lapse mode, so we got some nice shots. We will build a sturdy kite over the next day and it will hopefully get much, much higher than this one.

GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition Test: Monterey, CA

My uncle bought me a GoPro for my birthday, and we went to Monterey yesterday, so here is the video. This is my first video with this camera and which I actually edit, so don't expect a professional video. I had no stabilization of the camera, so it is a bit shaky from holding it up on a rocking boat. Oh, and it's in full HD.

January 3, 2013 @ Santa Teresa

The sunny side of the hills on today's ride were perfect. The dark sides, on the other hand, were hell. Deep, clay-ish mud layered my tires to the point where they could not move. Luckily, the picture below was taken before my bike looked as though it had passed through a gigantic lump of dinosaur crap. The cleaning afterward was horrible, but overall the ride was worth it.

First Day of 2013: Mountain Biking

So, it's a new year. I slept in until 12 in the afternoon, then went for a mountain bike ride. I haven't been riding this bike in a while, and I haven't been posting on the blog at all, so I decided to start doing both. Here is a picture my father took of me from below.
